Trailer Trailer is a modular trailer system for ATVs and side X sides, able to convert to three main configurations; a flat bed, a tub, and a tower system. The trailer was designed to be as durable and simple as possible, allowing for quick conversion while handling the toughest trails.
My job was to conceptualize the Trail Trailer within several design and functionality constraints. Primarily, the trailer needed to be strong, modular, and aesthetic, with a large emphasis in ease of use and patentability.
After concept sketch approval, the trailer was built in SolidWorks and different configurations were created and rendered.
I designed different tower styles, logos and decals, storage options, attachment systems, and the waterproof textile cover.
The final design was approved and the color theme decided.
The possibilities with Trail Trailer truly are endless. It was designed and built to be the foundation for countless products, add-ons, accessories, and custom set-ups. Its success and popularity are owed to a excellent design and engineering team.
